An exhibition took place over the summer celebrating flax grown locally on waste ground in Manchester and turned into cloth and yarn. Myself and some Textiles In Practice students experimented with the material using print, knit stitch and weave processes. A number of other artists and makers are also involved. The exhibition ends in Sept, its on at MERCi Bridge 5 Mill 22a Beswick Street Ancoats Manchester M4 7HR.
