Stitching Up Oxford Rd was a large-scale textile commission for Manchester Oxford Rd working with the local community. Participants ranged from the Aquatics Centre, the two Universities to the BBC, MRI and the Deaf Institute. The piece was made from recycled plastic bags collected on Oxford Rd. As with all of my collaborative work, students and recent graduates worked alongside to help create the art work.
