Kantha

A visit in 1988 to the Woven Air Exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery in London which showcased hand embroidered Kantha quilts from Bangladesh and Bengal brought about a change in Setterington’s work and a dialogue with contemporary quiltmaking that has continued ever since. Her work is in major collections from the V&A Museum to Whitworth Art Gallery, Denver Art Museum and Crafts Council Collection
